Home Run Inn was open in 1923 as a small tavern on Chicago’s South Side. The tavern received its name when a baseball from the neighborhood park smashed through the front window. By 1947, the iconic pizza recipe was created and that same recipe is still used today in Home Run Inn’s 9 pizzerias and frozen pizza sold in over 35 states. Serving all natural, prepared daily ingredients, makes Home Run Inn one of Chicago’s authentic thin crust pizzas. Above all, Home Run Inn is a proud, family-owned business—one with deep roots in the city of Chicago.
